Ini Edo was born on the 23rd day of April 1982. Iniobong Edo Ekim, popularly known as Ini Edo, is a versatile Nigerian actress, model, film producer, and philanthropist from Akwa Ibom State.
Her career started in 2000 now she has majored in over 200 movies making her one of the greatest of 21st-century Nigerian actresses.
Ini Edo grew up with a strict ubringing. Her dad , a church elder and a mom was a teacher. With three other siblings she was the second child. She had her secondary education at Cornelia Connelly College in Uyo and attended the university of Uyo and graduated with a diploma in Theatre Arts.
She also attended the university of Calabar where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English. In 2014, she was awarded a scholarship to study law at the National Open University of Nigeria.
She began her movie career in the year 2000 and since then has featured in more than 200 movies, with her first movie being “thick madam” which she acted in 2003.
As fate would have it, she only accompanied her friend to an audition; however, she was discovered by a producer and since then started her movie career. In the year 2003, she featured in her first movie titled “Thick Madam”.
Her net worth is over N500 Million. Movies acted in as spanned over a decade with over 200 films with several awards. Now a top notch politician and also was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Culture And Tourism by Udom Gabriel Emmanuel in 2016 and is currently holding the office till date.
